There is never a time in our day that we do not hear a Word from the Lord.
It comes to our souls even when we are doing our everyday duties in life.
God always knows the right time to tell us something.
In Luke, we see it as Zacharius was performing his duties as priest.
“And it came to pass, that while he executed the priest’s office before God in the order of his course…And there appeared unto him an angel of the Lord standing on the right side of the altar of incense” (Luke 1:8,11 KJV).
We see it as the shepherds were watching over their flocks.
“And there were in the same country shepherds abiding in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night. And, lo, the angel of the Lord came upon them, and the glory of the Lord shone round about them: and they were sore afraid” Luke 2:8,9 KJV).
They all were working as usual with no ideal that a message from God was about to come.
The same holds true for our lives.
The Lord can appear before us when we least expect it.
Answering our prayers and heartfelt thoughts.
Bringing us a Word of encouragement, wisdom, and guidance.
He has a Word for us every day.
Telling us about all the things that will do us well if we listen and are willing to obey.
A WORD OF PRAYER
Father, at any time of the day You may have a Word for us. One that is in answer to our prayers, or they can be ones simply of encouragement. You are always there to guide us in the right direction. Let us really listen to what You are saying. Trusting and obeying. Thank You for always being there for us.
