And saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel. Mark 1:15 KJV
After John the Baptist was put into prison, Jesus began to preach in Galilee.
When one of the Lord’s saints are unable to continue this journey, there will be others raised up to carry on the same work.
Christ preached to the people.
Letting them know that by repenting of their sins, they would be giving glory to our Creator, the One we have offended.
That by faith we give glory to our Redeemer, who was the One that came to save us from our sins.
He is the One who can work miracles, forgive sins, conquer death, and predict our future.
By His grace, we who are called by Christ, must be willing leave all and follow Him.
Forsaking everything that goes against our duty to Him and the things that would hurt our souls.
Jesus even took a day of rest and worship.
He wanted to make sure that we really knew what it meant.
That we needed a day of rest, to stop hard work and be present with God.
Knowing there will come a time when all that God has told us about the last days will come to pass.
That the kingdom of God will be at hand.
That while there is time, we need to repent of our sins, believe the gospel and live according to It.
No man knows, not even the angels in heaven, the day nor the hours of His return (Mark 13:32).
He wants us all to be ready.
A WORD OF PRAYER
Father, we thank You for sending the Savior to bring us the Word. To let us know that no man knows the day or the hour that You will return to judge us all. That we needed to repent of our sins and to get our houses in order. So, we would not be found out of Your will. May we all stay in the Word, stay awake and not be caught off guard.
In Jesus Name We Pray, Amen
