Now I beseech you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you; but that ye be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment. 1 Corinthians 1:10 KJV
The way we present things to one another determines those from whom it will best be received.
Unity is being in harmony or one in spirit.
The coming together of all involved.
Something we all should want.
Something we all should strive for.
Especially when we know the decisions will have an impact on what we do going forward.
That to achieve our goals, we will have to set aside our differences.
We must find a way to work together.
When we fail to do so, it makes it hard to get anyone with doubts to collaborate with us.
The same holds true in our spiritual lives.
As Christians, we must learn to work together.
If we want to succeed in making an impact for the Lord, we are not to let our racial or economical differences stop us from doing it.
We are not to select what we tell others to meet our needs.
We are to be on one accord with what the Lord says.
That is what Paul was saying when he addressed the Corinthian believers.
He was asking them to overcome their differences.
That the forming of groups would only cause a division amongst them.
Keeping them for doing the work of the Lord.
We should all want the same thing.
We are to “be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment” (1 Corinthians 1:10).
When we do not, unbelievers are not likely to come to Christ.
We should be using this precious time to share, love and pray that we all get on one accord.
There is so much that we must do in serving the Lord.
As we reach out to others, in our neighborhoods, schools, our workplaces, let us make the necessary changes in how we manage things, to prevent difficulties.
We cannot expect others to desire to serve the Lord, when His own cannot agree and work together.
A WORD OF PRAYER
Father, we all know that Satan has always had a desire to stir up strife among Christians. It is one of his chief devices against the gospel. Let us be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment defeating all his attempts. Using all our precious time to share love and pray for the salvation of us all.
In Jesus Name We Pray, Amen
