And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.
2 Corinthians 12:9 KJV
There have been times when we all have strayed away and done things, we know we should not do.
All because we had the feelings that we had been denied.
When we sit back and think about all the things we have been through and all the tears we shed, we should remember we are not the only ones who have felt this way.
That there is a way to make it through it all.
Paul even acknowledged that there were times of troubles and struggles he had been going through.
He had a thorn in flesh, and a messenger of Satan he had to fight with.
Times when he prayed to ask God for help more than once before he found relief.
The Lord answered his prayer, but not by removing the thorn.
But by giving him grace to bear it.
The assurance that his feeling of weakness, caused him to be put in a position to receive divine strength.
By the Grace of God, we are given the same opportunity.
His grace shows His good-will towards us.
This should be enough to enlighten and enliven us.
Giving us strength and comfort no matter the situations that comes our way.
The opportunity to glory in our times of trouble, knowing that we will soon be taking joy in the power that He will give us.
What was true of Paul is true of every saint.
A WORD OF PRAYER
Father, prayer is the remedy for every situation we find ourselves in. When we are afflicted with thorns in our flesh, we should go to You with a prayer of faith. You may not give us what we ask for, but You know exactly what we need. May we continue to rest on Your Word and receive the grace that You are always willing to give. Thank You for all You do to make us stronger in faith.
In Jesus Name We Pray, Amen
