Make Good Use Of Your Life

And these are the days of the years of Abraham’s life which he lived, an hundred threescore and fifteen years. Genesis 25:7 KJV

I was looking at a devotional that was very interesting to read.

It was talking about the life of Abraham.

How he was a believer. How he was blessed.

He is called a “friend of God” in James 2:23 and is a model of faith in Hebrews 11:8-19.

When I looked at Genesis 25, it gave an account of Abraham’s children, with his wife Keturah.

The disposition which he made of his estate and how he did it with wisdom and justice, while he yet lived.

An example of why It is wise for all of us to do as much as we can do while we yet live.

Abraham lived “an hundred threescore and fifteen years.” (v.7). He lived to be 175 years old.

He lived a life of faith, courage, intercession, and bravery.

He provided for his family and carried out his daily duties.

But most of all, he was a man who was dedicated to the service and worship of God.

Thank God for the history of his life and the testimony of his faith.

Abraham’s life should be an encouragement to us all.

Whether our stay in this life be long or short, we should leave behind us a testimony.

A testimony to the faithfulness and goodness of the Lord.

That we were a good example to our families and those around us.

It is a blessing to be able to show someone else that living according to the Word is the best thing we could ever do.

If the saints of the Bible were ordinary people of faith, then nothing should stop us from doing great things for God too.

A WORD OF PRAYER

Lord, the saints in the Bible were ordinary people just like us. Ordinary people of faith. Let us look at how they lived and be an encouragement to us every day.
