The Blessings In Giving

Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the LORD of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it. Malachi 3:10 KJV

In all we do, God must be served.

The interest of our souls should be our main concern before that of our bodies.

God commanded the Israelites to trust Him.

A trust shown by giving a portion of all He had supplied them.

He wanted them to give it to the Levite priest, who in turn would help others in need.

Many of us have held on to our resources and not given to God and others.

When we remember that our heavenly Father gives us everything we have and need, it should be easy to share.

God has blessings ready for us. It is up to us to receive them.

But through the weakness of our faith and the narrowness of our desires, we miss out on them.

It does not matter if we are managing our finances, our schedules, or the gifts God entrusted to us, giving is a way to show we worship Him.

When we give willingly others will recognize us as God’s blessed people.

A way of showing others that the Lord can open the windows of heaven, and pour them out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough for them to receive also.

Giving freely and fearlessly can show our confidence in the care of our loving Father.

Acknowledging to all that God is the ultimate generous Giver.

A WORD OF PRAYER

Father, we know that our fearless giving to You and others reveals our trust in the Lord’s promises and protection. Help us live with full confidence in Your faithfulness. Showing that we are blessed.

In Jesus Name We Pray, Amen
