Today, as in the Old Testament, God has given us a choice about how we will live our lives.
We can follow our own desires, or we can embrace the ways of the Lord revealed in the Bible.
The Prophet Isaiah even tried to warn the people in ancient Israel.
They ignored the Lord’s warnings to turn from idols, to fear what would happen to them because of their actions and seek Him.
Not following His Word can result in a tragic end.
The good news is that even with our disobedience the Lord still reaches out to us with love and forgiveness.
Hoping that we would turn to Him and follow His ways.
When we fear the Lord, walk by faith and humbly wait for God, the treasure is ours.
A sure foundation of for our times, filled with wisdom and knowledge.
A foundation that will lead to the strengthening of our salvation and keep us steadfast in the ways of God.
A WORD OF PRAYER
Father, we can follow our own desires, or we can embrace Your Word. You are the Solid Rock on which we can stand, rich in salvation, wisdom and knowledge. A Strong Foundation. Our security and hope are in You.
