Our bodies, which are the members of Christ, and temples of the Holy Ghost, must not be defiled.
When we lose control of our thoughts, and find ourselves in places we should not be, it puts a distance between us and God.
Christ has made us free, and we must stand fast in His Word.
The body is for the Lord.
It is to be an instrument of righteousness to holiness.
Through Jesus’s death on the cross for our sins, we are offered hope, forgiveness and a new beginning.
The hope of a resurrection to glory, should keep us from dishonoring our bodies by fleshly lusts and being made an instrument of sin.
We are united to Christ by faith and the whole man has becomes a member of His Spiritual Body.
Our bodies have been redeemed from deserved condemnation and hopeless slavery by the atoning sacrifice of Christ.
A sacrifice that has united us to Him as one spirit.
Bought with a price of unspeakable value.
He has set us free to live in His strength.
Ready to be used to His glory.
May we make it our business, to the last day and hour of our lives, to glorify God with our bodies, and with our spirits which are His.
A WORD OF PRAYER
Heavenly Father, when we flee from temptation, You provide a place for us to run. Jesus’ death on the cross for our sins was our chance for a new beginning, of hope and forgiveness. We give ourselves to You in obedience to Your will. You alone can meet our deepest needs and keep us from sin.
In Jesus Name We Pray, Amen
