God’s Placement

So now it was not you that sent me hither, but God: and he hath made me a father to Pharaoh, and lord of all his house, and a ruler throughout all the land of Egypt. Genesis 45:8 KJV

Delays of any kind can often cause anger and frustration. Our comfort comes in knowing that as followers of Jesus, we have the ability of looking to Him for help.

Joseph is just one of the great examples of how to have patience.

He was sold to slave traders by his brothers, falsely accused by Pharoah’s wife and imprisoned in Egypt.

The Lord was with him throughout these trying times.

His patience was shown even more when his brothers came to buy grain during a famine.

Joseph listened to his brother Judah
and heard all he had to say. He found his brethren humbled for their sins and the love they had for their father.

Joseph shed tears of tenderness and strong affection, toward his brethren and he made himself known.

He told them that whatever they thought to do against him, God had brought the good out of it.

When we humble ourselves and confess of our sins, God can bring the good out of it. We become living testimonies of His goodness.

It is Christ making Himself and His loving-kindness known.

It represents the Divine compassion He has towards all who confess their sins, repent of their ways and draw near to Him with a true heart.

In all that we go through, may we be like Joseph, gaining patience, perspective and peace as we trust in the Lord.

The Lord has placed us where we need to be.

A WORD OF PRAYER

Lord, our confidence in You makes us able to have faith in all we go through. That in all our delays and situations, we know that Your hand of guidance is there for us. You have put us in a place to be a blessing to others.

In Jesus Name We Pray, Amen
