Serving Out Of Love

Now there was at Joppa a certain disciple named Tabitha, which by interpretation is called Dorcas: this woman was full of good works and almsdeeds which she did.  Acts 9:36 KJV

It is always a blessing to be able to give unto others.

Tabitha, also known as Dorcas, was a woman full of good works. That even though she may not have had a lot to give, but what she did have she gave unto the people in need.  She had a desired outcome and took actions to perform them.

As Christians, we may not have a lot of material things to give, but can be charitable in other ways.  All for the good of others.

Living upon the fulness of Christ and the  salvation He has afforded us, we should have the desire to be full of good works. All for the honor of His name, and for the benefit of His people.

Just like Dorcas we can be useful where we dwell.  Showing the excellency of the Word, by the way we live and the way we give.

When we give our best out of love for Christ and others, our service will be rewarded.

A WORD OF PRAYER

Lord, help us to remember that the giving of our time is just as beneficial as the giving of money. That being full of good works glorifies Your Name and shows the love You have for us all.  That the spreading of Your love and seeing the joy that it brings makes it all worthwhile.  May many more come to know the benefits of good works.

In Jesus Name We Pray, Amen
