Moral standards are the personal standards that one sets for themselves as relating to human behavior. A distinction between good and bad behavior.
Moral standards involves the rules we have about the kinds of actions they believe are morally right and wrong.
There are many of us who feel that they should be allowed to do whatever they want or feels good to them at that moment.
We tend to listen to others who encourage us or tell us it is okay to do things we know are not acceptable. Having no regard for the consequences that may follow.
The Lord warns us that we should not believe these lies as they are deadly fruits.
Deadly fruits that can kill us, physically and spiritually. Killing our relationship with Him.
God has a Spiritual standard to make us know what hardships mean to those for us who choose to indulge ourselves in ease and pleasure.
All in the hopes that we will choose to cleanse our hearts from all corrupt affections and lusts. To repent of our sins.
Showing our devotion to God, following His lead and showing charity to one another.
When we sow in righteousness, we shall reap in grace and mercy.
Come and seek the Lord, and thy hope in Him shall not deceive thee.
A WORD OF PRAYER
Lord, let us no longer be self-righteous and bear the fruits of lies and wickedness. We know this will only bring misery. But let us believe in God and all of His goodness, reaping a harvest of blessings of grace and mercy.
