Claustrophobia, from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia, is the fear of being in confined spaces and is classified as an anxiety disorder.
Fear of small rooms, MRI or CAT scan machines, cars, buses, airplanes, trains, elevator and caves, to name of few, are all symptoms of someone who exhibits claustrophobia.
There are tips for managing claustrophobia.
These are just some of those suggestions.
- Taking deep breaths, one to three times. Then, focus on safe things like the time on your watch.
- Remind yourself repeatedly that your fears and anxieties will pass. It’s irrational to challenge what triggers your attack by repeating the fear.
- Imagine and focus on a place or moment that calms you down.
These are good suggestions, but there is one, not listed in this article, that is even greater and works with any and every kind of fear we face.
- Being determined to put our trust in the Lord.
That is what David testifies to in this chapter of Psalms.
He would pray in the time of trouble. When he was afraid. When he needed a word from the Lord.
He told God about everything that he had done in his life, the trials and tribulations he faced and more.
He had faith that God would answer and deliver him from them all.
That’s what we need to do in our times of trouble, trials and tribulations.
We should be determined to overcome all our fears and anything we face in life.
Let our faith be bigger than our fears.
A WORD OF PRAYER
Lord, we know that we have fears about many things in our lives, be it personal, about the world situations, everything in our lives. No matter our situation, we put our trust in you Lord. We give you all the praise.
In Jesus name we pray, Amen
