Read: John 8:31-36
And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free. John 8:32 KJV
The question is: What is freedom?
The Warrior Wasy says there are three types of freedom.
The first is “freedom from.” Freedom from the constraints of society.
The Second is “freedom to.” Freedom to do what we want to do.
The third is “freedom to be.” Freedom not to do just what we want, but a freedom to be who we were meant to be.
There are many countries that do not have the freedoms that most of us enjoy.
But they do have faith.
It is good to know that no matter our situation we all can have the opportunity to enjoy the freedom obtained through the Savior.
Freedom from the bondage of sin.
When we begin to seek the Lord, He has told us:
“And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” (John 8:32 KJV).
Freedom and truth are found in the Word.
All over the world the Word is being spread.
Changing the lives of all that will hear and receive it.
When we truly give our lives to Him, we are freed from all the things that society brings our way.
We are free to do what we know is the right thing to do.
We are free to be the person the Father has called us to be.
The deeper our experience with Him we are reminded that our spiritual freedom is more important than the things of this world.
We are blessed to have the freedom to know Christ, to love God and others in the strength of the Spirit.
To be freed from sin.
Take the time to recognize how free you can be.
A WORD OF PRAYER
Father, Spiritual liberty is what You desire for our lives. The more we learn about the truth found in the Word, the more we realize the freedom that can be found. Let us be examples to others. Showing them what it means to avoid the temptation of the world. To rely on Your promises. To obey Your commands. Because when we do, we will know the truth, and the truth will make us free. Free to enjoy all that You have for us. Thank You for all the love You show us.
In Jesus’ Name We Pray, Amen
