Read: Colossians 3:1-17
For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God…Mortify therefore your members which are upon the earth; fornication, uncleanness, inordinate affection, evil concupiscence, and covetousness, which is idolatry. Colossians 3:3, 5 KJV
Physical birth is one of the greatest memories a mother can have.
Knowing that what had been growing inside her is now a part of her world.
A time of praise.
Praying that in all the days to come they would have health.
Grow in wisdom and knowledge.
Thinking about the days of joy to come.
The moment when they come to know the Lord for themselves.
Understanding that our Spiritual Birth is even greater.
It is a time when we are born again.
When we realize greater is He that is in us than He that is in the world (1 John 4:4 KJV).
An even more immense time of joy.
It is the moment when we become dead to sin because its dominion over us is broken.
We no longer want to give place to worldly needs and desires.
We grow into an even greater way of wisdom and knowledge.
It takes us to the place of being spiritually alive through Christ.
A time when we are covered by His grace.
We have the Holy Spirit within us, helping to kill the lust of the flesh and strive for the things that are Heavenly.
Daily we are to destroy anything that may lead us to do the things of the world.
It is the duty of all of us to be holy.
Knowing that Christ is our All.
Our Lord and Savior.
The One that is truly our hope and happiness.
We will always gain the victory when we put off sin,
A WORD OF PRAYER
Father, we want to be heavenly minded. Not letting sin overtake our lives. Help us to daily mortify the things of the flesh. We know we have victory when we live according to the Word. All hope and happiness is found in You. Thank You for showing us how our spiritual birth helps us through what comes with our physical birth. We are truly blessed.
