Read: John 17:1-19
They are not of the world, even as I am not of the world. John 17:16 KJV
It is no secret that we live in an environment that has the potential to destroy us.
We know that many of the world values, the attitudes we encounter and some of the practices seen are a direct threat to our well-being.
They will bring us down unless we are able to protect ourselves from them.
That is where “Spiritual Protection” is what we need.
A protection that began from the time God created man and made provision for our welfare.
Manifested all the more when Jesus died on the cross for our sins.
The Lord has always looked out for us.
Desiring the best for us all.
He has told us that because He has given us the Word, the world hates us because we are not like them (John 17:14 KJV).
All because we “are not of the world, even as (He is) not of the world. John 17:14, 16 KJV).
His protection stays strong the more we study the Scriptures, fellowship with other believers, and pray.
It is even greater when we commune with the Holy Spirit, obey the Word, and keep our trust in the Father.
Holy, safe, and secure is His desire.
A WORD OF PRAYER
Lord, in the world there are many things that can lead us on a path that causes harm. That is why we have to be careful of what we do and of those we associate ourselves with. We know it is Your desire to keep us from the evil things we face in life. Thank You for the Word that reminds us that, just like You, we are not of this world. Just here for an appointed time.
