Read: John 14:12-31
And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever. John 14:16 KJV
No one can say there is never a time when they have not needed or wanted someone to be there for them.
Friends and loved ones may try to be there for you, but it does not seem to be enough.
Prayer is the key.
The Father has everything we need.
He has told us “If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it” (John 14:15 KJV).
But we must love Him and keep His commandments (John 14:16 KJV).
As followers of Christ, that is something we should already be doing.
The more we abide in Him, the more we trust in the Word.
We trust in what He is telling us.
We have no doubts when He said, “I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever” (John 14:16 KJV).
That Comforter would be the Holy Ghost.
The one that abides with us and never fails to lead us in the right direction.
Our prayers will be answered.
We will have the assurance of God’s care and keeping power.
A WORD OF PRAYER
Savior, we know that friends and loved ones will not always be there for us. We are thankful that You are. Whatever we ask in Your name, what is good for us will be granted. We are thankful for the Holy Spirit and all the benefits we receive. He is a great Comforter. Again, we thank You for all that You are doing for us. For always being there to hear our prayers.
In Jesus’ Name We Pray, Amen
