Preparing Really is the Most Wonderful Way in Life

Read: Isaiah 40:3-5 KJV

The voice of him that crieth in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the LORD, make straight in the desert a highway for our God. Isaiah 40:3 KJV

The history of ground transportation is so amazing.

When we look back through time there has been so much progress.

How we have changed from walking to our destinations, to riding horses.

There were wagons pulled by horses or mules.

Then the change to roads, highways, and railways.

Some of which go through mountains.

Others where valleys are transversed by mammoth bridges.

They take us to so many places.

But with any journey, we must plan.

Deciding what is best for us.

That is how it can sometimes feel when we are starting on our Christian journey.

Life can take us on so many paths.

To the point, that we are not sure what form of transportation and direction we should take.

Prayers to the Father should be where we start.

He has the Master plan for our lives.

It begins with us reading the Word.

The Word helps us to create our pathway that takes us through our mountains of issues.

Bridges that take us over the many valleys we encounter.

During ancient times, the conquering kings would get access to their newly acquired territories.

They would do it through the highways that were built for their troops.

That is what Isaiah had in mind when he said, “Prepare ye the way of the LORD, make straight in the desert a highway for our God” Isaiah 40:3 KJV.

Even in Mark 1:3 KJV, John the Baptist declares, “Prepare ye the way of the Lord, make his paths straight.”

To prepare the way into their hearts for the arrival of King Jesus.

As with any journey, we prepare how we will get to our destination.

What roads we will take.

Trying to make sure that things go well.

We want to make sure we get there safely, but also prepared just in case.

We all need to keep ourselves prepared.

We never know what lies ahead.

That is why our salvation is of significant importance.

Getting rid of anything that is in the way of us receiving the Lord.

Repentance clears the way for all He has for us.

A deeper and magnificent relationship with Him.

He has already paved the way for us.

He is just waiting for us to accept His plan.

Do not wait until it is too late.

Prepare now.

A WORD OF PRAYER

Savior, we know that on this journey called life, we are going to have to determine the road we will take. It can be like a warfare, but with You all our battles will be won. All our sins are pardoned when turn our lives over to You. Our troubles cease when Your love is manifested in our lives. When we choose the right path. Thank You for preparing the way.

In Jesus’ Name We Pray, Amen
