Read: Acts 3:1-10
Then Peter said, Silver and gold have I none; but such as I have give I thee: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk. Acts 3:6 KJV
Wealth can be defined as the value of all the assets that are owned by a person.
It is used to describe those who have possessions that are in the millions.
Wealth in material things will come and go.
But true wealth goes beyond this value.
Wealth is also that which is abundant, meaningful, and significant.
That would be our faith in our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
Putting our trust in the Word.
Our wealth in the Savior and the Word continues to gain value.
Those who invest in faith never have to worry about it losing its value.
It will always be abundant, meaningful, and significant.
That is why many need to remember that the Savior and His Word, not riches, is what truly sustains us.
The Apostle Peter brings this to light in the story of the man with disabilities begging at the temple gate in Jerusalem.
The man had asked Peter for money.
Peter replied to him, “Silver and gold have I none; but such as I have give I thee: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk” (Acts 3:6 KJV).
There is no doubt that the man lying at the gate felt that money was the answer to his problem, but Peter showed him that the answer was to be found in Christ.
To this day, the Lord is the answer to any problems we have financially or whatever our situation may be.
The key to being rich is knowing what counts.
To remember where our help truly comes from.
To be the one who goes forth in the name and power of the Lord.
Helping those who are bound by sin to arise and walk so faithfully in the way of holiness.
Helping them to increase their faith in Him.
Showing them that our greatest riches come from the Lord.
A WORD OF PRAYER
Father, words cannot express how sweet the thought is to our souls, that no matter our status in life, that our faith in you can make us whole. Daily we will express our gratitude for the strength we gain. Thank You for all that You do in our lives.
In Jesus’ Name We Pray, Amen
