Read: Psalms 112
Surely he shall not be moved for ever: the righteous shall be in everlasting remembrance.
Psalms 112:6 KJV
Many have wondered why as God saves us, He does not just call us home.
It is because He has a work for us to do.
His desire is for all to come and seek salvation.
To know that despite the things that are going on in the world, He still loves and cares about us.
Our lives can be scary at times.
It is amazing to know that there are so many people in the world that overcome this fear and serve the Lord with gladness.
Th the Lord has a mission for each of our lives.
A mission that is to focus more on telling others about the blessings that can be received.
All from trusting in Him for their salvation.
How so many of us realize that what we possess in this world is not to be our main focus.
But to help lead and guide others during the time the Savior had determined for our lives.
A journey that is easy when we remember not to be weary in well-doing for in due season, we shall reap a harvest of blessings (Galatian 6:9 KJV).
When we remind ourselves to do as Jesus did.
He recognized, “I must work the works of him that sent me, while it is day: the night cometh, when no man can work” (John 9:4 KJV).
It will be as Paul said in Acts 13:36 KJV: “For David, after he had served his own generation by the will of God, fell on sleep, and was laid unto his fathers.”
We will have done a work that reaps great rewards in the end.
It is always a blessing to be “stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord.”
We will always know that our “labour is not in vain in the Lord” (1 Corinthians 15:58 KJV).
That in God’s eyes, there is true greatness when we are serving others.
So, while we have the light of day, let us continue to work to bring Christ and His love, to someone’s life.
A WORD OF PRAYER
Father, while we yet live, we have work to do. It is always good to know that we can rely on Your strength to get the job done. A strength that allows us to boldly let others know about You. Telling them that we all can live a life that is full of love and truth. We are to do all that we can because as You have said “night is coming when no one can work.” Each day is bringing us closer to finishing our assignment. Cheerfully knowing that in the end something even greater awaits us. We long to hear You say, “Well done, thou good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord.” What a wonderful time that will be when we all get together as one.
In Jesus’ Name We Pray, Amen
