Step Out in Great Faith, He’s Absolutely with You

Read: Joshua 1:1-9

Moses my servant is dead; now therefore arise, go over this Jordan, thou, and all this people, unto the land which I do give to them, even to the children of Israel….There shall not any man be able to stand before thee all the days of thy life: as I was with Moses, so I will be with thee: I will not fail thee, nor forsake thee. (Joshua 1:2,5 KJV)

We all have a purpose in life.

The Lord knows what it is and assigns it according to our abilities.

Even if the task seems difficult to us, He always gives us what we need to carry it out.

Today’s Scripture was just another timely reminder of the Lord knowing what we can do.

Joshua was put into a position that had great responsibilities.

The Lord had told him, “Moses my servant is dead; now therefore arise, go over this Jordan, thou, and all this people, unto the land which I do give to them, even to the children of Israel” (Joshua 1:2 KJV).

There is no doubt that the requirements seemed difficult.

Just the thought of them made him tremble with fear.

He did not see how he could ever follow in the footsteps of Moses.

He felt that in his own strength it would be impossible to lead the people to the Promised Land.

But what came along with what the Lord had told him was a promise.

The Lord told him, “As I was with Moses, so I will be with thee” (Joshua 1:5 KJV).

Just to make sure there still was no doubt, He sent another message.

He then also told him, “Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the LORD thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest” (Joshua 1:9 KJV).

Such a reassurance is what Joshua needed.

We all need some form of reassurance when we are doubting our ability to do something.

When the Lord desired for me to do inspirational writings, I was scared.

I had no idea where to start or about what I would even write.

There were times when I struggled to gain the courage, I needed to do what He was calling me to do.

I can honestly say my strength and encouragement came from hearing the Word preached by my Bishop.

He did not know what my struggles were, but there were many times when his sermons hit home.

It was the Lord’s way of reminding me of what He had already told me to do.

I finally got to a point where I stepped out in faith.

I wrote my first book, “Because He Lives…Biblical Encouragement That You Are Never Alone.”

And not long after, I began posting daily inspirational on my website, www.wisdomfriendlycreations.com.

And I am currently working on another book.

The Lord has something for each of us to accomplish.

It is different for each one of us.

You know deep down in your heart and soul what it is.

Listening to your Spiritual Leader and others testify of what the Lord has called them to do can also confirm what we are spiritually feeling.

Never feel you do not have a purpose in life.

Everything we do on His behalf has great meaning.

There is someone out there that just needs to hear something encouraging and inspiring.

Something that leads them to the redeeming power of the Lord.

You can be that someone.

So do not be surprised if something is said that keeps telling you what He wants from you.

He will keep placing people in your life who will keep watering the seed He has planted in your spirit.

If God has given you a special work to do, He is there for you.

He knows that we sometimes need confirmation that we heard Him correctly.

I am just one of many living testimonies of how He is constantly speaking to us.

So do not be surprised when someone says something that hits home.

It just means it really is time for you to step out in faith.

Having a determination to do what He has called you to do.

As you do your part, He will always be there to help you every step of the way.

Let no one or nothing keep you from doing His will.

When in doubt, “Pray.” (James 5:12 KJV).

He has told us in Deuteronomy 31:6, to be strong and of good courage.

Not to fear, nor to be afraid, because He is with us all the time.

So, no matter where the Lord guides us, He will always provide us with the protection and support we need.

Many blessings on the journey ahead of you.

A WORD OF PRAYER

Father, we know You have a call on each of our lives. May we go where You want us to go. Say what You want us to say. Trusting and believing that You are with us all the way. Thank You for all the blessings. We know that where You guide, You will always provide.

In Jesus’ Name We Pray, Amen
