Hidden In This World, In His Eyes Always Great

Read: Colossians 3:12-17

And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him. Colossians 3:17 KJV

There are thousands upon thousands of jobs being filled by someone on this earth.

They are jobs that need to be done.

Many of these jobs go unnoticed but are important to our well-being.

Take for instance bridge maintenance.

I like reading other devotionals.

There was one in which the writer was talking about a man that paints the inside of a bridge tower.

How this unnoticed job is done to make sure that the steel of the “magnificent, suspended structure” would not rust from the inside out.

Because if it did it would compromise the integrity of the bridge.

His job is especially important.

It is always interesting to hear about those things we never really think about.

There are so many jobs out there that we fail to realize how dependent we may be on someone doing their job well.

How we are dependent on that one worker to be faithful when performing their duties.

The same holds true in the many things we do in life.

No matter how big or small our unnoticed deeds may be, they are not.

They are always being noticed by the Father. He sees it all.

He is always looking at our faithfulness in the things we do.

Being observed by Him and our dependence on Him is what matters the most.

Our positions in life, no matter how big or small, have immense value.

Always remembering that “Whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him” (Colossians 3:17 KJV).

Our daily work will always take on an eternal value when it is done in the name of the Lord.

A WORD OF PRAYER

Father, it is always good to know that all our positions in life have great value. Everything we do has an impact on someone else’s life whether it is acknowledged or not. Let us continue to perform them well because You are taking notice of all we do. That You will be the One to acknowledge them through life’s journey and in the end. We want to do all our tasks as a blessing to Your name.

In Jesus’ Name We Pray, Amen
