Empowering: One of the Greatest Teachings He Ever Gave

Read: Matthew 28:16-20 / Acts 18:9-11

Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen. Matthew 28:20 KJV

The term, “Alway” is an archaic word that means “all along, for all time.”

There are other translations that say “always” which is similar in meaning.

It means “at all times, on all occasions, all the days.”

Both truly describes what God has promised us.

We see this promise being proclaimed when the Lord sent the disciples out to prophesy the Word.

He told them, “I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world” (Matthew 28:20 KJV).

The Lord has always considered all the various activities we may be involved in.

It does not matter if they are good or bad circumstances thar are surrounding us, nor the different responsibilities we have throughout the course of our days.

He is with us when our days are filled with sunshine and even when the storm clouds are raging in our lives.

He is with us in our times of joy and sorrow.

He is with us in our times of sickness and health.

He is with us of success and of failure.

Our Lord is with us no matter what each day may bring.

It is so good to know that the Lord is always walking beside us through it all.

Always strengthening, loving, and filling us with faith and hope.

We all know how wonderful it feels to have the feeling of peace and the security to defeat our foes, fears, afflictions, and doubts.

We can also stand on the promise He made to Paul in Acts 18:10, when He said, “For I am with thee, and no man shall set on thee to hurt thee: for I have much people in this city.”

No matter what the time of day is and no matter where we are, we can always say, “The Lord is here.”

A WORD OF PRAYER

Father, it is true that there is not a day nor an hour in which the Savior is not with us. When the things of life begin to way us down. Your presence is a great comfort to us. We will never forget Your Words, “lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. The more we think about all the love You bestow on us, the more we cannot help but to give You praise.

In Jesus’ Name We Pray, Amen
