(For he saith, I have heard thee in a time accepted, and in the day of salvation have I succoured thee: behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.) 2 Corinthians 6:2 KJV
Technology has come a long way.
The usage of computers and digital filings has grown tremendously.
But we all know that it has its moments of concern.
If there was a power outage, and you had not already saved your documents, they were lost.
There was no way to retrieve them.
Today, we have what is called “autosave,” but as you know, with technology, it does not always work.
Especially if you have not taken the time to allow the proper updates required to be made.
We must make sure we save it ourselves.
Imagine the stress it causes if you were trying to meet a deadline and time was running out.
There is no way to delay the time.
It is due when it is due.
The same holds true when we fail to consider what is happening in our spiritual lives.
There will be those who have made plans for their lives that have yet to include the Lord.
They think they have time to complete everything they desire before making the final decision to live according to the Word.
But just like with any power outage, it could be too late to hit the save button.
Those will be the moments when those who have rejected Christ will have the ultimate awakening that the save button is no longer an option.
The Bible has told us that our destiny is sealed for eternity when we die.
That we should make it our priority to believe in our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ today (Acts 16:31, 2 Corinthians 6:2 KJV).
Today is the day of salvation.
Tomorrow is not promised to any of us.
None of us should want to end up like the rich man spoken about in Luke 16.
The one how did not live according to the Word, died “And in hell he [lifted] up his eyes” (Luke 16:23 KJV).
The time is now.
Let us remain encouraged in living a life pleasing to the Lord.
And encourage others, not to put off receiving Christ as their Savior.
None of us should want Him to catch us with our work undone.
A WORD OF PRAYER
Lord, we know it is never too early to receive You as our Savior. That now is the appointed time to give our lives to You. Tomorrow is not promised to any of us. That at any moment You could call us home. Which home depends on the faith, hope, and trust we put in You. We pray that many will take heed of Your Word and accept You while they have a chance. To press the ‘saved’ button everyday while we yet live. Today is the day of salvation.
In Jesus’ Name We Pray, Amen
