We all know that life is full of responsibilities and challenges.

But sometimes when we are trying to achieve certain goals or desires, we must put just as great an effort into them as anyone else involved.

For those of us who trust in the Lord, we are praying for the support we need from Him.

What we must remember is that once we have told Him of our needs it is still up to us to do our part.

We must be willing to do what it takes and use all the means that the Lord provides for us.

To follow all the directions, He gives us.

Thanking Him in advance for all the knowledge He is about to bestow on us.

Hezekiah learned from Isaiah that he was going to die.

He wept and prayed to the Lord to remember how he had walked before Him in truth and with a pure heart. How he had done that which was good in His sight (2 Kings 20:3 KJV).

We all know that prayer is the key and that our faith unlocks the door to blessings and miracles.

Hezekiah’s prayer was heard, and the Lord responded.

Isaiah received a word from the Lord and returned to Hezekiah.

He told him that the Lord said He had heard his prayer and saw his tears.

That He would heal him.

But Hesekiah had a part to play in this healing.

Isaiah instructed him to go to the house of the Lord and to take a lump of figs.

Upon him doing his part, fifteen years would be added to his life.

Hezekiah did as the Lord instructed him to do and recovered (2 Kings 20:4-7 KJV).

We know that the Lord did the healing, but there was also some human effort involved.

This is just one example that shows us that when we ask the Lord to do something for us, we must be ready to do our part also.

Our faith can sometimes require making a checklist.

One thar reminds us of what we have been praying about and what we need to do to help complete it.

The Lord is already doing His part, we must make sure we are doing ours.

There is nothing more meaningful than being able to see the power of God.

To realize the great notice the Master takes of our prayers and the wonderful favor we obtain as one of his chosen.

A WORD OF PRAYER

Lord, we are so glad that You always hear our prayers. When we come to You, let us listen to what You say and do all that You desire us to do. We know we have a part to play in making the answer fulfilled. It will not always be easy, but with You on our side, all things are possible. Thank You for Your loving kindness and care.

In Jesus’ Name We Pray, Amen
