There is always a time when vital information needs to be received by someone.
In the world today, urgent emails can be sent.
Voicemails left indicating we need to return the call as quickly as possible.
Mail that is hand delivered and requires a signature of receipt.
In any instance, the information received is of great importance.
Our Heavenly Father even has ways of sending messages to His people.
In this passage, God sent an angel to spread the good news and bring “good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people” (Luke 2:10 KJV).
He wanted to ensure that the message was received by all the right people.
In this case, the angel was sent to comfort the fears of the shepherds.
Giving them the guidance needed to get them to the place of the Savior’s birth.
We all can find ourselves subject to Divine visits.
Especially when we know our calling and abide in the Word.
When we keep God involved in all we do.
Our faith abounds when we remember that His good-will to us was made known when He sent the Messiah to die for our sins.
How He left His home in Heaven to come to our aid.
Even more reason for us to give Him praise.
The birth of any baby is a blessing.
We all know that the birth of this Baby was the greatest one of them all.
Let us worship and adore Him, no matter where we are, and while we have a chance.
A WORD OF PRAYER
Father, the good-will You have toward us is wonderful. Let us be like the shepherds and waste no more time in coming to You. To receive the blessings, You have in store for our lives. We worship and adore You. Thank You for sending Jesus to atone for our sins. Making it possible for us to receive a Heavenly status with You.
