The aged women likewise, that they be in behaviour as becometh holiness, not false accusers, not given to much wine, teachers of good things; That they may teach the young women to be sober, to love their husbands, to love their children. Titus 2:3-4 KJV
From the beginning of time, the Lord has had a place for women.
The longer they lived, the more knowledge they were able to obtain.
Their behavior is to be one of holiness, not as one who falsely accuses others.
They remain sober and teaches things that are good (Titus 2:3).
They are to teach younger women how to remain sober, love their husbands and love their children (Titus 2:4).
They were instructed of God to do this.
He knew how younger women, without proper guidance, would expose themselves to temptations.
Things that would put them in bad situations.
That is where members of the older age group is suppose to take action.
It could be difficult at times.
We all know that there are some who find it hard to want to listen to what they say.
What they fail to realize is that they have lived through some things and know more than they think.
When they do realize it, they find that those up in age can have a great influence on their lives.
One that can help keep them from making the same mistakes.
The older women of God are truly blessed.
They desire to follow God’s lead and be there for the younger women that come into their lives.
Being women of wisdom and faith, the more we tell our children and our children’s children they will be thankful for the wisdom and faith that we share with them.
A WORD OF PRAYER
Father, some of us have not had the privilege of the knowledge a grandmother or mother can give. We are thankful that there is still others in our lives that fill their spot. They provide us with information encouraging all of us to keep the faith. That is why it is important for the younger generation to know how blessed they really are and all that You have brought them through. May they pass it on to their children. Who shall one day pass it on to theirs. Praying it keeps going on and on until You call us all home.
In Jesus Name We Pray, Amen
