Every man also to whom God hath given riches and wealth, and hath given him power to eat thereof, and to take his portion, and to rejoice in his labour; this is the gift of God. Ecclesiastes 5:19 KJV
There are so many things in our lives to be grateful for.
We may have times when we take for granted what we have been blessed with.
All of us need to remember that everything we have is a “gift of God” (Ecclesiastes 5:19).
We should be rejoicing and giving Him praise for all that He has done and is doing in our lives.
The writer in Ecclesiastes acknowledged God in every moment of enjoyment received of the material things in his life.
Like him, we all should make sure to recognize that we have the power to eat the fruits of our labor and even the strength to receive and rejoice in them because they are from Him (Ecclesiastes 5:18-19).
From our birth, until He calls us home, life is God’s gift to us.
He has a calling on the lives of each of us.
Let us take pleasure in the calling where God places us.
He owes us nothing, yet He supplies all our needs.
Having a thankful and a cheerful spirit is a great blessing.
They make what He has called us to do easy, and any conflicts light.
We add more to our joy, when we realize how blessed we are every day.
A WORD OF PRAYER
Savior, let his passage remind us that each day is a blessing. That we remember the Words You have spoken about how we are to do things in our lifetime. To appreciate all that You have done and will do in our lives. We are adding to our joy and counting all our blessings.
