What profit hath he that worketh in that wherein he laboureth? Ecclesiastes 3:9 KJV
It has always been said that when we are deciding what we want to do or be in life we should choose the one that most pleases us.
When we only work for work’s sake, we often find ourselves in a position of not feeling successful.
We feel our lives lack purpose or meaning.
Our desire should be to have one that when we wake up in the morning, we look forward to another day of working.
Knowing that it will be positive and successful.
That we will be making a difference in someone’s life.
Our blessings continue to abound when we stay faithful in what we know and believe.
When we don’t let anything change the direction and purpose of our lives.
The same holds true in our Christian walk of faith.
Our work has great meaning as we partner with the Lord for the sake of mankind.
Our employment and the good workmanship we establish with Him helps to produce the results He desires.
He has a place for each of us.
The employment of Adam is one example.
As long as he continued to work faithfully with God, the results were good.
Adam was employed as God’s gardener to “subdue” the earth (Genesis 1:28) and “to tend and keep” the garden (Genesis 2:15).
His work environment was great, and he was happy with the job he was given.
But sin stepped in and changed his working conditions.
We know what happened then.
Any time we fail to follow instructions, we get punished (Genesis 3:17).
With any punishment, we are reminded of the need for mercy and salvation, which God freely offers to all of us.
God knows what we are able to do.
He has gifted each of us with something to benefit the kingdom.
Let us use them and produce the greatest work record to be seen.
Giving back to God good and honest work.
Knowing in the end, blessings abound.
A WORD OF PRAYER
Father, we know there is a position for each of us in the kingdom. That You have given each of us something to do. That none of us were to sit idly by and do nothing. Let each of us see what our calling is and fulfill it. There is nothing better than being able to do a work that brings positive results. Thank You for giving us the opportunity to work with You.
In Jesus Name We Pray, Amen
