Stop Pretending, Now Is The Time To Confess

Read: Proverbs 28 / Jeremiah 3:11-15

He that covereth his sins shall not prosper: but whoso confesseth and forsaketh them shall have mercy. Proverbs 28:13 KJV

Many of us are carrying the burden of a sin we committed some time ago.

The thoughts of it keep playing over and over again in our minds.

So much so, until we get to a point when we know we need to do something about it.

We just can’t stand it any longer.

Confession is the key to the problem of guilt.

The Lord knows this is a problem for man.

He even pleaded with His people through the Prophet Jeremiah, in hopes that they would see where they had been unfaithful.

Just like things would play over and over again in our heads, over and over again the Lord warned them the He would judge them for denying that they had done wrong.

For the fact that they were refusing to come back to Him for mercy (Jeremiah 2:35).

He repeatedly tried to get them to stop running from what they had done and admit to their sin (Jeremiah 3:13).

The same holds true for all of us.

He who covers his sins, shall not have any true peace

Is there something in your life that you are covering up?

We all know we can’t hide anything from God.

He sees and knows all.

Confess it all to God and experience His love, His mercy and His grace.

A WORD OF PRAYER

Father, we know Jesus died on the cross to pay sin’s debt. Dying so we could be forgiven. We cause much grief when we try to hide our sins and lose out on the grace You desire to give. Help us to remember the faster we confess our sins, the doors of forgiveness are open and freely given.  Making it possible to live a happier life. Thank You giving us a chance to confess our mistakes. For all the blessings we receive.

In Jesus Name We Pray, Amen
