With anything in life, we can find an excuse.
Some of us have interesting reasons for why we could not do something.
Others have some that make us laugh because we know they are made up.
When it comes to our salvation, there is no room for excuses.
We all need to accept Christ as our Savior.
And there is no time like the present to do so.
The apostle is showing us that all mankind needs the salvation of the gospel.
None of us can obtain the favor of God or escape His wrath when we continue to make excuses and do things our way (v.18).
There is no excuse for us to remain in sin, when our Creator has so clearly shown in the works He has done, that He is real (v.19).
That what He desires for our lives are so much better than anything we could do by ourselves.
There is no excuse for any of us not to have a relationship with the Lord (v.20).
It is the best thing that could happen for any of us.
Don’t be the one making excuses and wishing you had done something before it was too late.
Just like we take our health seriously, the same holds true when it comes to something as serious as our spiritual condition.
A WORD OF PRAYER
Father, there is no good excuse for ignoring You and all that You do for us. That making excuses does nothing to cover up our sins. We all need to acknowledge that Christ provided all that we need when He made the sacrifice that washed and cleansed us of our sins. Let our lives show others why they should not hesitate to receive all that You have for them. That they need to do it before it’s too late. Thank You for the wisdom You always provide.
