How sweet are thy words unto my taste! yea, sweeter than honey to my mouth!
Psalms 119:103
We all have our moments when we have a strong desire for something to eat.
We start doing other things.
Before we know it, we are tired.
We forget about our desire to eat and just go to bed without eating anything.
We all know what happens when we don’t feed our bodies daily.
The next morning, we will wake up weak and very hungry.
The same happens with our need to be Spiritually fed.
When we skip our quiet time, feeding daily on God’s Word, it is only natural to feel “hungry”.
Our souls have its tastes as well as the body.
If we continue to skip these meals, we begin to lose the desire to study the Word and Spiritual starvation sets in.
The more we starve ourselves, our faith becomes weak and we loose our desire to eat of the Word.
Those are the times we need to ask the Lord to revive our appetite for the Word, our “Bread of Life”.
Making it possible for us to avoid any further times of Spiritual starvation.
To be like the psalmist and say, “How sweet are thy words unto my taste! yea, sweeter than honey to my mouth!” (v.103).
Feed on them daily.
There is nothing like a well-fed soul.
A WORD OF PRAYER
Father, we should all desire to avoid finding ourselves Spiritually starved. A good man carries his Bible with him, if not in his hands, in his head and in his heart. Your Word is the Bread of Life, and our souls are all well-fed when we read and live by it. Thank You!
In Jesus Name We Pray, Amen
