Chosen – Greatest How To Make Living Royal A Reality

Read: 1 Peter 2:1-12

But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light. 1 Peter 2:9 KJV

When we hear or see the word royalty, we automatically think of a person of royal blood.

Someone having the title of  king, queen, emperor or a member of a royal family.

One who is sitting in a position of power.

Family heritage and physical traits are what most people look at when they try to determine who someone is.

When we look in the mirror, how many of us recognize that we are royalty?

That we are a person of royal blood and have been chosen of God to sit in a position of power.

When Jesus died on Calvary, the blood He shed washed away all our sins.

He opened the door for us to claim our position and be a part of God’s family.

It is up to each of us to confess and repent of our sins.

To recognize who we are in the kingdom.

Peter told us, we “are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood” (1 Peter 2:9).

There is a call on each of our lives.

We have to acknowledge it and do things according to His leading.

Even in the Book of Revelations the Lord was still declaring our royal status.

John, one of the many messengers of God, spoke, giving us another chance to see  that through Christ’s sacrifice on the cross, He ”made us kings and priests unto God and his Father” (Revelations 1:6).

Take the time to accept all that the Lord is telling us and acknowledge who we are because of Him.

No matter what our status is here on earth.

No matter what the the things around us look like.

When we decide to listen to what the Lord is telling us there will be a change in our inner man.

One that doesn’t hesitate to praise the Lord for bringing us out of darkness into His marvelous light (1Peter 2:9).

Telling everyone who will listen that they are a part of “a chosen generation”. That they have the ability to be a part of royalty too (1 Peter 2:9).

All they have to do is believe and receive.

How wonderful it is to know we are a part of a royal family.

Chosen of God.

We are children of the King of Kings.

We don’t have to wait to declare it.

A WORD OF PRAYER

Father, it’s good to know that we are a chosen generation. That when we accept Christ we become a part of Your family. We give You all the praise for all You have done and will do in our lives. May others come to know that they can be a part of Your royal family and what to do to claim it.

In Jesus Name We Pray, Amen
