Darkness to Light

Read: Romans 13:11-14 /Colossians 3:1-14

The night is far spent, the day is at hand: let us therefore cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armour of light. Romans 13:12 KJV

Each day when we wake, we should vow to not do anything that is wrong.

To give up any sinful practices we have in our lives.

To avoid anything that is displeasing to the Lord.

As Christians, the elect of God, we are encouraged to be holy.

In Colossians 3:12 NIV, Paul was even encouraging Christians to “put on tender mercies, kindness, humility, meekness, longsuffering. “

Adding, “But above all these things put on love” (v14).

Our dark nights are over. A new day is dawning.

Yesterday is now in the past and we have the chance to make things right going forward.

Quitting what is wrong, showing love and doing that which is right should be our goal.

Pleasing God all our days.

Be the example to others that it so much better to cast off the works of darkness and put on the armor of light. (Romans 13:12).

A new day is dawning.

Let’s make the best of it.

A WORD OF PRAYER

Lord, securing our souls from Satan’s temptations is our daily task. Let us walk honestly day by day in the knowledge of Your Word. Avoiding the works of sin and darkness. We know the graces of the Spirit is our armor. Thank You for providing us with what we need to defeat the enemy.

In Jesus Name We Pray, Amen
