Encouraging Atmosphere

Read: Romans 15:1-7

Let every one of us please his neighbour for his good to edification. Romans 15:2 KJV

We should all be a source of encouragement.

A true spirit of hope and support for one another.

It fills our lives with love, comfort, and peace.

One that sets the picture of how things should be in our spiritual lives.

We all know that the Father desires for us to be there for each other.

What better way to do it than to build each other up.

As Paul said, we are to “comfort [ourselves] and edify one another” (1 Thessalonians 5:11).

That, “each of us should please our neighbors for their good, to build them up” (Romans 15:2 NIV).

That it can be done through our showing helpfulness and mercy.

He was telling us that we need to all work together.

To come together, spiritually, and grow in faith.

We are to live according to the Word.

The Father has been so lovingly gracious to each of us.

He sent Jesus as the prime example of what it means to be meek, humble, and lowly in spirit.

That when we follow His guide, we find the comfort and hope we need to succeed at being there for each other.

To always create an atmosphere of encouragement.

Make it your choice today to show His grace to others through your encouraging words and actions.

A WORD OF PRAYER

Father, as we “accept one another”, let us entrust our spiritual growth to Your teachings and to the leading of the Holy Spirit. Your Word is the encouragement we all need. It is what makes the difference between any of us giving up or having the strength to press on. Help us to encourage others along the way. Give us what to say. We want things to be positive and bring them close to You. Making it possible for all of us to walk deeper in Your love. We desire that all of us grow in faith.

In Jesus Name We Pray, Amen
