Opportunities arise in our lives every day to do good for someone else.
God has chosen us with a purpose to do good to others and help them come to know Christ as their Savior.
Everything we do according to His leadership has an influence on someone’s life.
We all should want to be used by the Lord.
He has done so much for each of us and wants us to share His goodness with others.
We all can follow him.
The Apostle Paul tells us, “For even Christ pleased not himself” (Romans 15:3 KJV).
The Word also tells us that “No one should seek their own good, but the good of others” (1 Corinthians 10:24 NIV).
In Philippians 2:4 KJV, He said, “Look not every man on his own things, but every man also on the things of others.”
We each need to show a true concern for others.
A phone call, a quick visit, a helping hand may be just what someone needs because they are lonely and hurting.
We can show it by whatever means possible, but it must be from the heart and according to how the Savior would have performed it Himself.
Never forgetting that, as Christians, we all have been redeemed by the redeeming quality of the Lord.
We all have been given the ability to use what He has blessed us with to help in serving others.
It is our seed time and what we do decides what we shall reap in the end because of what we have sown.
We must stay under the guidance and influence of the Holy Spirit.
Living a life of faith in Christ.
Let us strive to live by what is known as “The Galatians 6:10 Principle”.
It says we should ask God each day for an opportunity to do good. Look for ways to help fellow believers. To be willing to do good to anyone.
The love and unity felt when we do, is worth all the time spent.
Take care to do good in your lifetime and make this the business of your life.
Abounding in all His Christian graces that of the Spirt shall reap life everlasting.
A WORD OF PRAYER
Father, each day may we take the opportunity to do good. Always looking for ways to be a blessing to others in the best way possible. There will always be someone who needs an encouraging word or the simple gesture of a smile. It can mean so much to them. Just like You we want all to live according to the Word and have a fruitful and blessed life. There are so many blessings to be obtained. May Your guidance on unselfish service be displayed by us all. Thank You for being the best example.
