Had Enough, Heartfelt Prayer Really is the Greatest Solution

Read: Psalms 6

I am weary with my groaning; all the night make I my bed to swim; I water my couch with my tears. Psalms 6:6 KJV

There will always be a time when we must face some type of disappointment.

We all have our dreams and things we want to fulfill in our lifetime.

They do not always happen, leaving us feeling bad.

Making us wonder if our dreams will ever come true.

Situations that leave us with a sense of loss and hopelessness.

The Psalmist David is one who experienced hopeless despair.

He struggled with his own failures.

The attacks of others and the disappointment of life.

He cried out to the Lord, “I am weary with my groaning; all the night make I my bed to swim; I water my couch with my tears” (Psalms 6:6 KJV).

He was driven to feeling so bad because of the sorrow and loss he was feeling.

But despite all his grief he turned to the God of comfort.

Praying to Him because he knew that in Him is where his strength would come.

He was acknowledging his confidence in God.

His confidence prompted him to say, “The LORD hath heard my supplication; the LORD will receive my prayer” (Psalms 6:9 KJV).

And He did.

We all will have our seasons of disappointment.

But like David, we too can find all the comfort we need in God.

We know He cares for the broken hearted.

We are His children.

He is always there for us no matter the time of day or our situation.

Bringing a peace that covers us in all our times of need.
