Read: 2 Timothy 4:6-14

Do thy diligence to come shortly unto me. Only Luke is with me. Take Mark, and bring him with thee: for he is profitable to me for the ministry. 2 Timothy 4:9,11 KJV

We all want someone to talk to or know they will be there in our time of need.

Missionaries are given the responsibility to preach the gospel to all people.

Baptizing them and teaching them to do all things that the Lord has commanded (Matthew 28:19-20).

We all may not hold the title of a Missionary, but we are all called to encourage someone with the Word.

It doesn’t matter if they are seeking to know the Lord or are already walking in His ways.

Paul needed a friend while he was sitting in a dungeon awaiting execution.

We know he had the Lord, but he really wanted flesh-and-blood companionship.

That’s the reason why he asked Timothy to bring Mark with him when he came.

Timothy honored his request.

He knew the Lord wanted him to be there for a friend in need.

Being a missionary for the Lord means we will be the one people seek after to help them in their time of need.

The Lord has even told us, “For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them” (Matthew 18:20).

Say, “Yes” and be a blessing to the Kingdom.

A WORD OF PRAYER

Lord, a true missionary is like a friend who will not leave you to stand alone. Help us to be a friend to a hurting people by being there in their time of need. Just like You are always there in our time of need. Thank You Savior.

In Jesus Name We Pray, Amen
