We all know that church is often seen as a place where everything is expected to be perfect.
Some don’t see it as a place where someone can show up when everything is not perfect.
We live in a world where all of us have some form of weakness and are tempted to try to keep them under wraps.
The Scripture encourages us to change this way of thinking.
The Apostle Paul gives an account of the method God took to keep him humble.
We are not told what this thorn in the flesh was, whether some great trouble, or some great temptation.
It is said to have been a messenger of Satan which he sent for evil; but God designed it, and overruled it for good.
That is why Paul was able to say, “Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me” (v.9).
None of us are perfect, but not acknowledging our imperfections denies Jesus the power to work on us.
Prayer is a salve for every sore.
No matter what the injury is or how it happened.
It is the remedy for every “thorns in the flesh” we encounter.
The Lord gently mends and redeems in a way our efforts could never accomplish.

Lord, troubles are sent to teach us to pray.We may not get what we asked for but we should know that grace still abounds. Giving us the strengthen and comfort needed in all our afflictions and distresses. Thank You for Divine strength and grace.
In Jesus Name We Pray, Amen
