Legally Taken

Read: Galatians 4:1-7

But when the fulness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son, made of a woman, made under the law, to redeem them that were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons. Galatians 4:4-5 KJV

It means a lot to hear a news story or see an article about the building of a development to house children who were without parents.

How even if someone was not able to adopt a child, still could give something to support them in some way.

Be it volunteering, financial or keeping them in prayer.

Adoption is found throughout the Scriptures.

Scriptures that strengthen our faith but also encourage us as we assist in the needs of waiting children in our areas and around the world.

There are many children who are happy with knowing that someone is even thinking about them.

Even happier when they learn that there is someone who doesn’t just want to help them but take them into their family as their own.

Being a child of God, we know how that must feel.

God sent His Son to die for our sins.

That we would “not perish but have everlasting life” (John 3:16).

But it did not stop there.

God also redeemed us. Completing the adoption process (vv. 4-5).

We were brought into His family.

God has told us that we are His; and since we are His child He has made us heirs. That through Christ, we have equal and full rights of inheritance (v.7).

Our Father didn’t just want to save us, He wanted to claim us as His own.

He adopted us into His family, gave us His name and proudly call us His child.

There is nothing like the wonders of Divine love and mercy that God shows to us all.

We are all children of God.

We just need to accept and acknowledge that all the paperwork is done!

A WORD OF PRAYER

Father, it is always good to hear a testimony from someone who has gone through the process of adopting a child and the joy that it was bringing them. The blessings that the child is receiving because of it. That is how we feel. We are thankful that we were blessed to be adopted by You. To be a part of a family that is filled with love. To be claimed as their own. Knowing that Jesus died for us, so we could be joint heirs with Him. We pray that others will not give up hope and allow You to take them in as one of Your children too.

In Jesus Name We Pray, Amen
