So then neither is he that planteth any thing, neither he that watereth; but God that giveth the increase. 1 Corinthians 3:7 KJV
The season has come when grounds are being made ready for the planting of seeds.
How they will be planted in fertilized grounds. One that is meant to produce a great harvest.
When they begin to grow, we continue to watch them and see what progress we are making towards having a beautiful garden.
We know that even though we planted the seeds and watered them, it was the warmth of the Sun that helped them to grow.
Nothing would grow if what was planted and watered remained in darkness.
The same holds true in our Spiritual lives.
It is always the season to plant the Word in someone’s life, water it and the Lord is the “Light.”
The Light that helps us to grow.
The Lord has told us about our spiritual growth.
How there are those that have been called of God to spread the Word (1 Corinthians 3:4-5).
Just like we use garden tools to till the grounds and plant the seeds, ministers are the tools God uses to plant the Word.
They have been trusted to achieve the same outcome that God desires for us all.
They continue to water and fertilize us with the Word because they know that without the “Son” nothing will grow.
God sent His Son to be the Light that gives us the ability to grow and increase.
We all have been given different gifts to be used of the Lord.
We all have a part to play in the building of the Kingdom.
Whether we are the one who planted the seed or the one who watered it, without the Lord as our Light, we will not prosper in the things of God.
When we work hard, remain faithful and do our best, an abundant harvest is our great reward.
A WORD OF PRAYER
Father, we give You all the praise and the glory for someone being around to plant and water the seeds of Your Word in our lives. How Your Son is there to give us the light we needed to continue to grow. We desire to grow more and more each day. Thankful for our spiritual growth and our ability to be used of You in serving and growing Your Kingdom.
In Jesus Name We Pray, Amen
