Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me. John 5:39 KJV
There are times when we take an interest in something.
We are so excited about it; we begin to do some research on it.
We take the time to get information.
We get so caught up in reading about it, but never put it to use.
The same can hold true when it comes to our study of God’s Word.
The more we read the Bible, we learn more about Jesus.
What He has done for us and how we can please Him.
We look at Bible, organize and classify the Scriptures.
But in the end, we miss the primary purpose of what they really mean for our lives.
We all have our different circumstances, but the Word addresses all areas of our lives.
When we have questions regarding life’s journey, take the time to search the Scriptures.
Every verse we read reveals Himself to us.
The Jews found that eternal life was revealed to them in their Scriptures.
That the Word of God was in their hands.
That the Word contained everything they needed.
Jesus even encouraged them to search the Scriptures with more diligence and attention.
We are encouraged to do the same.
Keeping the Word close to us and reading it daily.
It has all the answers to any question that we have.
Even more reason to study the written Word.
To know that Christ is the Living Word that has an answer to it all.
A WORD OF PRAYER
Lord, when we take the time to read Your Word our hearts are filled with joy and rejoicing. We find out all that You will do to enrich our lives. May we never stop studying the Word, because we will find everything, we need for all the situations that occur in life. Thank You for all the guidance You give us.
