Monumental, Awesome Results When We Wait Upon the Lord

Read: Isaiah 40

But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint. Isaiah 40:31 KJV

In our lifetime we will find ourselves in a position where we need to delay doing something.

Putting it off until another time or until something else happens.

Depending on what we are waiting for to happen, some may wait calmly, and others will not.

In our waiting we are to hope, to anticipate and to trust.

Our hope and our trust should be in the Lord.

Anticipating that all will go well.

That is why while we are waiting, we must have faith.

There will be a time when we must show patience in spite of our troubles.

Keeping His commandments and enduring to the end.

When we do this, it will be as He said, “But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint” (Isaiah 40:31).

The Savior wants us to wait so He can help us work on our hearts, our minds, our attitudes, and even our health.

He is working while we are waiting. Even though we may not see what He is doing.

His grace is always covering us.

He will always fulfill His promises.

He does it all in His perfect timing.

A WORD OF PRAYER

Savior, we know in the times we are waiting, You are preparing us for the things to come. There will be times when we feel that things are not moving as quickly as we would like, but those are the times we must remember You are in control. In our waiting let us remain hopeful. To always anticipate the best outcome. But most of all to keep our trust in You. We know the more we learn to wait on You, we grow stronger in our faith. We know where You have begun the work of grace, You will perfect it. Thank You for the guidance given.

In Jesus Name We Pray, Amen
