To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven.
Ecclesiastes 3:1 KJV
Calendars are used to follow the days of the week in every month.
We use them to follow the four seasons of the year.
They are defined as Spring (March, April, May), Summer (June, July, August), Autumn (September, October, November), and Winter (December, January, February).
The seasons are important for many of us, because of what we hope the new season will bring.
For some Spring is the best season because it indicates the end of Winter.
The weather is just the right temperature, and daylight lasts longer.
Giving us the ability to take a nice walk.
Look at the beauty of nature; flowers blooming, the greenery of the grass and trees.
Or you may be someone who lives in an area where Autumn is what you long for to bring relief from the Summer sun.
Weather is not the only season we find ourselves going through.
We also go through the seasons of life.
In Ecclesiastes the author has told us that “To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven” (Ecclesiastes 3:1).
That there is a time appointed by God during which we live our lives (v.2-11).
We will all have changes that we go through in life.
There will be moments of happiness that can sometimes end in disappointment.
The things of the world are so much in our hearts.
Our thoughts and cares become so focused on worldly things that we have neither the spirit nor time to see God’s hand in them.
We must keep the faith.
Knowing that all things work together for good to them that love Him.
God has a plan for each of our lives. One that is wise, just, and good.
Regardless of the season or how things appear to us, we should give thanks to God.
Thanking Him for His greatness, His help and the companionship He has shown us.
There is no change or temptation that will come our way that the Father will not bring us through.
Every season in our lives brings a reason for us to rejoice.
A WORD OF PRAYER
Father, You have told us that “to every thing there is a season.” That things will happen in our lives. How You are with us during these seasons in our lives. We know that everything we go through brings us closer to You. You are the One we put our trust in. Thank You for all You are doing in our lives.
In Jesus Name We Pray, Amen
