Ye shall not therefore oppress one another; but thou shalt fear thy God: for I am the LORD your God. Leviticus 25:17 KJV
For those of us who care, it is not hard to feel anger and frustration when we see how our government and people who are well off treat those who are truly less fortunate.
It is happening all over the world.
Those are the times when we wish things could get to the point when all of us were economically sound, wanting for nothing.
We know we all, those who have and those who need, must play our part to make it happen.
However, we know the problems of injustice and poverty will not go away if the rules and the man-made laws that are in place are not changed.
We know a true change will only come when Jesus returns.
But in the meantime, we must remember that God didn’t want any of us to obtain wealth at the expense of others.
That even in the days of Moses, He told them they should be kind and compassionate to one another.
To speak out for the poor against the injustices they face.
To be kind, helpful and generous.
There are some who are stepping up to the plate to assist, but much more needs to be done.
We know one person can’t do it for everybody, but if we each help to feed and educate one or two in need, it is a start.
Doing our part to reflect God’s loving compassion.
A WORD OF PRAYER
Lord, we know that to help others is what You desire for us to do. There is much to be gained when we put our faith, obedience, and courage in living according to the Word. Helping as many as we can to make life changing decisions. Knowing that no matter what is happening in the world, when You come back a greater change will come. You are the Lord our God. With You all things are possible.
In Jesus Name We Pray, Amen
