My son, forget not my law; but let thine heart keep my commandments. Proverbs 3:1 KJV
A healthy and happy life is what we all hope to have in our lifetime.
That is why we put our trust in Health professionals.
They are always reminding and encouraging us to take time to exercise, even if it is just a little 15-minute walk.
To take the time to relax, meditate, read, eat balanced meals, and do those things we know are right for our well-being.
They want nothing more than for each of us to live a long life.
Whether we follow the instructions is totally up to us.
The same holds true for our Spiritual Lives.
God is our Health Professional and wants nothing more than for us to have “length of days, and long life, and peace” (v.2).
Good things happen when we follow His commands.
We know that Health Professionals have aides.
God has some too.
Solomon was one of His aides.
Part of his duties was to remind us to hear, not forget and pay attention to what God was telling us.
The guidance God was giving was important enough for him to repeat.
He wanted to make sure we understood the importance of what God was saying.
That there is safety, peace of mind and blessings when we keep His commandments.
Just like we listen to what our Health Professionals say, take to heart what God is telling us about our lives.
A WORD OF PRAYER
Father, we all desire to live lives full of happiness and without want. All this is possible if we forget not Your law and, in our hearts, we keep Your commandments. If we love You, even if our days are not long on this earth, there is another Paradise where we will abide with You forever. You are the best Health Professional any of us could have and we Thank You for all the advice You give us.
In Jesus Name We Pray, Amen
