And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus. 2 Timothy 3:15 KJV
Little is known about Timothy’s childhood except that he was raised by his God-fearing mother and grandmother (2 Timothy 1;50).
They faithfully instructed him in the Scriptures (2 Timothy 3:15).
Because of the teachings he received, God was able to use him as a leader in the early church.
As parents we want the best for our children, just like our parents wanted for us.
The age of children is the age to learn.
Those who would get true learning, must get it out of the Scriptures.
The Bible is our sure way to learn and receive eternal life.
It is beneficial for all purposes of our lives.
There is something in the Scriptures suitable for every case.
For the things in our lives to be taught, corrected and reproved.
When we read the Scriptures and receive the wisdom it brings, salvation through faith in Christ is ours.
Out testimony and life will show we have been spared from sin.
That we our thankful for God’s grace.
A WORD OF PRAYER
Father, Your grace can take a sin-stained life and make it clean again. Making us wise unto salvation through faith. Thank You for the Word and sparing our lives.
