Remorse, Resolution, Repentance

Read: Romans 2:1-7 KJV

Or despisest thou the riches of his goodness and forbearance and longsuffering; not knowing that the goodness of God leadeth thee to repentance? Romans 2:4 KJV

There are many times we have done something that is inexcusable.

When we think about it, we are sorry and ask for forgiveness.

The same holds true with our Spiritual Lives.

Sin is any action that God has told us not to do.

Those things that will cause us more harm than good.

Our blessings come when we choose to repent of our sins and return to what God has commanded.

When we make amends for our sins, there is a strong determination to leave our past behind.

Leaving it behind without a desire to return to doing those things anymore.

There are many who have testified of His goodness and how He led them to repentance.

The Bible even tells us about the many that were converted and the grace they received.

We should all take a look and see if we have responded by acknowledging our sins and the need for forgiveness.

In any event, don’t delay, do it today.

Have a deep regret or guilt for the wrongs we commit.

Cry out to God and promise to change our ways.

Knowing that our sincere regret leads to salvation and our ability to enjoy God’s goodness.

The enjoyment of God’s Word and ordinances, is the chief happiness to those who are living according to it.

Take the time to notice God’s goodness.

A WORD OF PRAYER

Father we know that Your promises are made for those that believe. When we fail to confess our sins and believe, any act of faithfulness has no effect. Let us rely on Your unchanging love and receive the change You desire to make to our sinful hearts. Thank You for Your goodness towards us.

In Jesus Name We Pray, Amen
