The Wicked and The Upright

Read: Proverbs 3:32-35

The wise shall inherit glory: but shame shall be the promotion of fools. Proverbs 3:35 KJV

Guilt and shame is something that we have all felt.

They are powerful feelings of embarrassment that wear us down.

What can we do with such strong emotions? Can we ever find relief?

Yes we can.

It is okay to admit when we are wrong.

Things also happen as a way to protect us.

God’s Word is needed to prevent problems and mistakes.

We have to be willing to ask God for help.

We do this when we humbly confess our sins to Him and ask for His forgiveness.

We should be specific about the sin that God’s Spirit is convicting us about.

Knowing that when we repent, with God’s help, we won’t repeat it.

The Lord has told us that He wants us to not live with the shame of sin, but turn to Him and experience His complete forgiveness.

May we not be the one who despises the truth of what He has told us about sin.

But be a humble believer who is shown Divine favor.

No longer wicked in our ways, but walking upright in the Word.

The one that has accepted the truth that their guilt is gone for all the wrong done and resting assured that they no longer have a reason for guilt or shame.

A WORD OF PRAYER

Lord, when we choose the path of sin, guilt and shame can overwhelm our souls. Let us humbly call on You so we can be granted the peace You desire for our lives.  Thank You for being there to save us.

In Jesus Name We Pray, Amen
