God is truly grieved when He sees men neglect or abuse their children.
It is sad to say, but these incidents are increasing.
It is happening because we are moving farther and farther away from the principles of God and what the bible teaches us.
On a more positive side, we can also see fathers that are devoted followers of Christ.
They are fathers that are setting the examples other fathers need to see and hopefully will follow.
They are fathers that are not ashamed to express their feelings of love for and to their children.
Even the ones that are not their own.
The Lord gave us an example of fatherly love.
There was a nobleman in John 4 who was a compassionate father.
His son was at the point of death.
Despite being a nobleman, he was not too proud to express his deep concern for him.
He did not demand anything, become violent, or attempt to use his status to get what he wanted.
He humbly begged the Lord to heal his son.
Compassionate fathers reflect the heart of our Heavenly Father.
The One who has compassion for us all.
Seeing the world as it is today, we should be praying and honoring fathers, who show compassion.
Praying for those who need to know what compassion means.
Letting them know that compassion is not a sign of weakness.
Compassionate fathers reflect the heart of the Heavenly Father who pities those who fear Him.
Our world needs to see more fathers like that.
Be a compassionate father and make the difference in a child’s life.
A child is more than likely to see God as Father when he is truly seeing God in his father.
A WORD OF PRAYER
Lord, we pray that every father will come to know You and the compassion You show. Making it possible for them to exhibit the same. Thank You for all the ways You consider the weakness we have, and the foolishness of our souls.
In Jesus Name We Pray, Amen
