It is not uncommon for someone to carry a bitter reminder of a past hurt. We all do.
Someone has said or done something that we have taken offense too.
We must be careful regarding the next steps we take.
The words we speak can have an effect on both our professional and moral ethics.
Which in turn, has an effect on the minds and manners of those who hear them.
As Christians we should be alert to the dangers of how we express our thoughts. Be it written or verbally.
All of us have caused the Lord a lot of pain because of our sins.
It is our duty not to increase the guilt of someone for certain offenses, but, by the blessing of God, to bring them to think seriously about how we conduct ourselves.
To encourage and warn believers about how their manner of conversation affects others.
Our behavior and outward expression of love can have a humbling effect.
God forgave us, even though we had no real reason to sin against him.
He gave His life for us, so we could live a life full of joy and gladness.
Let us get rid of any feelings of bitterness, wrath, anger, clamour, and evil speaking.
It may seem hard to do, but we can do it.
We must forgive, as God has forgiven us.
A WORD OF PRAYER
Lord, we know that sometimes our feelings get the better of us and we speak words that can cause more harm than good. We ask for Your forgiveness, granting us the wisdom You give to help us be watchful of how we speak and the ability to forgive others.
In Jesus Name We Pray, Amen
